2013 Year in Review -- The Unwedding Shoot (9.4.13)

This blast from the year past isn't from a wedding.  These gorgeous photos were taken at Prairie Creek Inn as promo shots for the The Unwedding bridal fair.  Alicia Bauer of Ally B. Designs did the fabulous styling for the shoot as well as the paper goods. Jessica Blex Photography shot the gorgeous photos and Found & Flora arranged the beautiful flowers.  Gown by Blush Bridal Boutique and tux by Bridal Images.  Hair and makeup by Sweet Jane Salon.  Furniture, gold vases and candlesticks, doors, utensils, and goblets by Nostalgia!

2013 Year in Review -- Marie and Ethan (8.10.13)

This past year was a big one for Nostalgia Rentals!  I'm spending the last week of 2013 being thankful for all of my fabulous clients and reminiscing about the weddings and events I helped with this year.  One wedding that sticks out in my mind is Marie and Ethan's, married in August at Country Pines in Lincoln.  I had a lot of fun working  with bride Marie and some of my favorite fellow wedding vendors to create an elegant shabby chic event.  Gorgeous floral arrangements by Petals to Platinum, cupcakes by Le Cupcake.  Beautiful photos by Whitney Huynh Photography (you can check out more pictures here).

 Nostalgia vintage wood folding chairs.

Vintage gold vanity trays and gold vases from Nostalgia.

Nostalgia's church pews and folding chairs.

 Grey loveseat from Nostalgia.

Another shot of Nostalgia's church pews.

I had a lot of fun putting this candy buffet together for the wedding (props, containers, and candy buffet styling by Nostalgia).

Come back to the blog later this week for more looks back at 2013!

Welcome to Nostalgia Rentals!

Vintage can be rustic. It can also be kitschy. Sometimes it is country, and sometimes it is elegant. Vintage can be classic, and it can even be modern. But vintage is always unique.

Nostalgia Rentals is dedicated to helping you translate your unique personality and ideas into a one-of-a-kind event. Our vintage décor and furniture items add character and whimsy to weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthday parties, reunions, photo shoots… if you can dream it, we can decorate it!

Our aim is to make adding vintage elements to your event affordable and easy. Hunting for the perfect vintage touches at antique stores, garage sales, and flea markets can be time consuming and expensive. We have a vast inventory of rental items readily available for you (at a fraction of what purchasing these items would cost). If you have your heart set on an item that we do not have listed in our inventory, please let us know. Our stockpile of goodies is always growing and we have the connections and resources to do a custom search for you.

Call us for a complimentary consultation (402.469.4518) – we are excited to help you plan your event and make it uniquely you!

Liz & Matt's Barn Wedding

Here is another wedding I provided rentals for this summer. LOVED this one! Matt & Liz chose Scottlyn Yards in Blair as the venue for both their ceremony and reception. It turned out so beautifully! And now I really, really want a VW bus. All pics by the wonderful Caleb and Megan at Willow Noavi Photography.

A variety of vintage containers from Nostalgia served as wine chillers on the reception tables

A Busy Summer & Sara and Scott's Wedding

The past couple of months have been a blur! We're all moved into the new showroom/office and have been super busy... there's been a wedding or event pretty much every week since the beginning of June. I've been pretty good about keeping Facebook updated (if you haven't already, go "like" Nostalgia Rentals here), but I have REALLY neglected the blog. I plan to play catch up and post some pictures of this summer's events over the next couple of weeks.

Let's start with Sara and Scott's backyard wedding in Omaha in early June. Candace from Lovestru.ck styled the event, and it was a perfect fit for the couple... laid back and intimate with a little bit of a French bistro feel. She used a lot of Nostalgia's items  -- two full pickup loads!.  Take a peek (fabulous photos by The Mullers).
Nostalgia's mason jars as drinking glasses

Tea cart, typewriter stand, and drink dispensers

Industrial double sink, perfect for serving bottled drinks

Happy couple!

Vintage tables and chairs

Seating area with white sofa, side table, and green upholstered chair

Vintage silver pieces used as planters for herbs

Vintage tiered table and primitive church pew

I had a great time working on this one -- the bride and groom are such a lovely couple! I will be posting pics from other events soon. My schedule is starting to really fill up, so if you're interested in using my items for your upcoming event, give me a call soon so I can get you on the books!

BIG News!!!

Big news.... Nostalgia Rentals is going to be moving to a new showroom (a showroom that's not my house)!  Just signed a lease this week for a shop at 4220 S 33rd Street, Suite C (Lincoln, Nebraska).

Not quite sure when we will be ready to open yet, but probably early June.  I'm also very excited to be sharing the space with two very talented ladies -- Candace Kalasky of Lovestru.ck Social Events and Megan Pomeroy of Megan Christine Photography.  It's going to be fun, girls!

I've been pinning constantly, thinking about the space.  I will have several vignettes showcasing my items in different wedding themes.  There will be space in the back for crafting -- I know my husband is excited that I will have a place to work on brooch bouquets besides our dining room table.  Hopefully, it will all turn out looking something like this:

I will post more details later.  Hope I will see you all at the opening!  Back to planning I go!
