Say Cheese

Lately I have been picking up vintage cameras whenever I see one that is a good deal. I just like them. I miss film sometimes -- you would never know it from looking at my flickr photostream, but I did take photography classes in high school and college. (In my defense, I could probably take better photos, but I am just trying to slap inventory pictures up as fast as I can.) I loved the whole developing process... Developer! Stop bath! Fixer! Contact prints! Dodging! Burning! Ah, the memories. Also, I really can't get the hang of Photoshop, no matter how hard I try. Anyway, here are a few of my little treasures:

I don't know if any of them work. Probably not. But I do know that they make awesome props and decor. Just take a look at these centerpieces:

Gorgeous, right? Pssst... I have a bunch of apothecary jars, too, if you want this look for your event.

You know what is really cute? Babies with vintage cameras!

OK, you're right -- babies don't need vintage cameras to look cute. But it doesn't hurt, either.

While we're on the subject of cameras and picture taking, I thought I'd let you know that I am going to make these photo backdrops/props soon and will have them available to rent:

I loooooooove these old paper moon backdrops. They would be so great for a 1920s-1930s theme wedding.

I think a backdrop like this would be great with or without the openings to peek through. Hanging pictures of family members on it and using it as a wedding ceremony backdrop or reception decor would be a nice touch. We have dozens and dozens and dozens of frames -- I just need to find some great vintage wallpaper.

Better get to work, right? I will be sure to post pics when I'm done!
